DATA!
THAT'S MY PASSION!
Cordially welcome! My name is Thomas! I'm holding a PhD in Engineering from the Karlsruhe Intitute of Technology (KIT), a Master’s Degree in Information Systems from the Technische Universität München (TUM), and successfully completed an apprenticeship as IT application specialist. I have gained profound professional experience in project management in more than 20 software development projects and assumed the technical responsibility for 4 IT projects.
I contributed to 4 international scientific working groups whose aim is to develop international standards using Semantic Web technologies. Closely together with smart people from all over the world, I have contributed to the development of 3 OWL ontologies, a new language to formulate constraints on RDF data, and the model-driven further development of a well-established metadata standard. My personal research focused on validating linked data. In my PhD thesis, I propose a validation framework for RDF-based constraint languages.
During the time I have been research associate and PhD student in Computer Science at a reseach institute, I presented my scientific work at 19 international scientific conferences and 23 international scientific workshops in 16 different countries. Among the most important international top conferences are the International World Wide Web Conference, the International Semantic Web Conference, and the International Conference on Semantic Systems. Among the most important international workshops are the Workshop on Linked Data on the Web, 5 Dagstuhl Seminars, and the Summer School on Ontology Engineering and the Semantic Web.
My scientific work is published in form of 38 publications (i.a., my PhD thesis, 6 journal articles, 9 articles in conference proceedings, 3 articles in workshop proceedings, 2 specifications, and a research data set).
